Everybody Is Changing And I Don't Feel Right

During this tablet salvation is a recurrent theme. Not only is it mentioned repeatedly but it also makes reference to other biblical and extremely important stories. Take for instance the crucial and very evident resemblance to the Noe's Arch, biblical fable. Which deals with a man who has one of the most religious and orthodox views; who is told to make an arch with 2 opposite sex members of all species because a flood would take place. It made an extremely close connection to the following quote: "Take with you on a boat you build, an instance of each living thing so that they may be safe from obliteration in the flood." pg 66 Tablet 11

Again we can see the close relation with this quote: "Abundance will rain down more than enough!" pg 69. Again making reference to the flood upon this ideal village.

Once the flood is ending the other important event, that is basically a "breakthrough" transformation, in such Gilgamesh finally abandons the savagery that reminds him of Enkidu, stops his grieving, finds his salvation, and goes back to being that invincible and gorgeous creature that all men tried to become. The uppermost perfection. Such transformation can be observed in the following quote: "The hairy-bodies man you brought across the perilous waters, wearing the skin of a beast that hides his beauty, let Urshanabi take him to the washing place. There let him wash his body, washing away the filth that hides his beauty. " pg.78 Tablet 11

As you can see we progressively connect several ideas of the book, with past events or other historically significant casualties in all over the world.

"They say that time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself." Andy Warhol
